Professor Catherine Wihtol De Wenden is a political scientist and lawyer. She is professor at Sciences-Po Paris and director of research at CNRS (Centre d’études et de recherches internationales de Sciences Po - CERI). She is specialised on Migration and international relations and on global migration. At the CERI, she is the director of the research group working on ‘Migration and international relations’. Since 2002 she chairs the committee of research entitled ‘Migrations’ of the International Association of Sociology. She is also a consultant for different organisations among others OECD, the Council of Europe, the European Commission and an external expert for the UNHCR. Shes is in the editorial committee of the following peer-reviewed Journals: Hommes et migrations, Migrations et sociétés et Esprit. She carried out a number of research projects on comparative analysis on migration policies and migration flows in Europe, as well as on citizenship.
